“My wife and I had looked around a bit and searched online, but when we went to Woodbridge and saw the product, it made up our minds pretty quickly. We’re really pleased with the windows. Our old sashes were drafty and leaking and they’d stick, which can be maddening. The new ones are superb and […]
“Our house was built in 1957 and, as well as some of the original window frames becoming warped, they were only single glazed and we knew we’d have to do something about them. We looked around before making our selection but location had a lot to do with it. Having a showroom nearby meant that […]
“We had quite a few timber windows made to replicate the old ones that we were replacing. Although we looked around a little before choosing, we went to the showroom at Fornham St Martin and were very impressed. We’ve already noticed a big difference in terms of losing the drafts that used to rattle through […]
“Our son-in-law works in the building trade and he’d looked at the Burgess Group website on our behalf. When we went to the showroom, we were immediately impressed by the quality of the windows. In the end, we decided to have the project done in two halves, front and then back of the house. During […]
“We felt the need to convey how pleased Mary and I are following the complete replacement of all windows in our home. We looked very carefully before choosing The Burgess Group, our major driver for going ahead was Quality of Product and confidence in the delivery side, on all counts Burgess have been superb. We […]
In this Cambridgeshire farmhouse, the original wooden sash windows had stood the test of time for some 125 years until being replaced with plastic alternatives in the 1990s. These however lasted only a little over 20 years before they began to fail and the current owners, thankfully decided to return their home’s appearance to its […]
“Our house is in a coastal location and consequently exposed to the elements. The old windows were draughty and difficult to operate. The new windows however are smooth to open and close and perform brilliantly in keeping out the coastal weather. The look of the house has also been transformed by the new windows. Our […]
“We were very impressed with the quality of the products when we visited the showroom. The knowledge and friendlessness of the staff was great and from start to finish the whole experience was very pleasing. We were guided through the design process and decided to proceed with a contemporary front door to go with our […]
This historic property started life as two single cottages and has been converted by the previous owner into one large home. During the conversion poor pvc windows were installed and the current homeowner was very keen to replace them with something more in keeping with the original style of the cottage. Aside from aesthetics the […]
“After living in the property for 27 years, we decided to replace the windows and doors as we’d finally got fed up with the old ones letting in lots of draughts. An online search had led us to The Burgess Group and we visited the showroom in Bury St Edmunds to view the products. Other […]
Sitting in the semi-rural village location, Kirby-le-Soken on the North Eastern point of Essex, this lovely cottage has plentiful character. The home owners have worked hard to retain all of its charm, period features and history whilst creating a modern, comfortable home. Timber flush casement windows finished in Oxford Clay with a single 18mm horizontal […]
“We embarked on our extension project with our neighbours and we were all delighted with the high quality products The Burgess Group had to offer. The sleek and slender sections of the aluminium folding doors were a perfect fit and they also enabled us to maximise the glass area to enjoy the view out to […]
“We looked at other suppliers but we loved the feel and quality of The Burgess Group’s timber lipped casement windows. The installation was very efficient and obviously the scale of the work meant there was some disruption, but the team cleaned up with care. They were also very careful not to damage the internal decoration […]
“Our previous casement windows were old, rotten and very draughty so we were keen to find a solution with high performance as well as improving the aesthetics of the house. We did extensive research and had various quotes from other companies and whilst there were cheaper alternatives the design and quality of The Burgess Groups […]
This unique transformation of a 50’s style property is fantastic. The homeowners chose our contemporary flush casement windows and entrance door to give their home a complete facelift. Combined with new light grey cladding, the white flush casement windows with a horizontal glazing bar design offer a fresh modern look. The new porch incorporates our […]
“Built in the 1950’s our property was two farmers cottages which we have merged into one. Previously fitted with critical windows we were very keen to improve the dated look of the house. We obtained various quotes from joinery companies but the quality of the products were not up to the standard we saw from […]
This Edwardian home boasts lovely period details, but sadly the old windows were single glazed, very draughty, noisy and dilapidated. The choice of our slim traditional timber box sashes, in a white painted finish, were made to remain in keeping with the properties period features. The homeowners shared our passion to keep the integrity of […]
“Having grown up in the house, I saw the original windows being replaced with aluminium frames in the 1970’s. I’ve always wanted to change them back to the original style so when the time was right I started searching online and found ‘The Burgess Group’. I visited the showroom in Bury St Edmunds and was […]
“We moved into the property just over 2 years ago and the original windows were suffering from rot and very draughty. Being a traditional cottage we felt it was important to replace them with something in keeping with the original style. Having visited the showroom, we could see the products were very high quality and […]
“Our previous windows were in a very bad state, so we couldn’t wait for the opportunity to change them. We came across The Burgess Group’s showroom in Woodbridge we and loved the products. It was very helpful being able to see all the products in the showroom to help us visualise the finished look before […]
“Our house faces south over the River Alde and can be extremely draughty as a consequence! Because of the period of the house – it dates from 1928 – we decided to replace the windows with like-for-like design in a similar matt white. It’s a big investment so we had the house done in two […]

Lovely new timber window project, mixture of box sash and flush casement, completed at this gorgeous Suffolk cottage.
We have recently completed installing these beautiful French grey windows and doors into our customer’s lovely cottage in Holbrook. The transformation has caused quite a stir with many neighbours taking brochures from our installation team during the work. The impact we’ll propertied and correctly designed windows and doors makes to a home should never be […]
